A closer look at hospice care
The idea of hospice can seem scary, but it’s truly about comfort. Comfort will be provided for your loved one as their life comes to its end, and comfort will come to you and your family as you see your loved one’s care is in good hands.
Focused on physical comfort
When your loved one’s illnesses and conditions are no longer improving, when they are continually making trips to the emergency room, or when they are seeing their doctors more often but aren’t getting healthier, it’s time to consider hospice care. At this point, you, your loved one, their physician and the Mo Cara team will come up with a care plan. Our team has decades of experience in helping people in the later stages of their life, and want to make sure you and your loved one find peace and comfort.
From here, Mo Cara will make sure your loved one is comfortable. This includes ending stressful and frequent emergency room visits and hospital stays, therapies and medications not integral in providing comfort. As the Mo Cara team partners in caregiving with your and your family, you can focus on spending quality time with your loved one.
Addressing emotional needs
Emotional well-being goes hand in hand with physical comfort. We want to support your loved one in the unique way that comforts them best. Mo Cara families are asked to share those personal items, daily activities, or special requests known to lift their loved one’s spirits. From enjoying music to aromatherapy, crafting, reading, journaling, praying, or simply reminiscing together, we want to know what will brighten their day. We will find a way to ensure this very important personal level of care is offered. You are now part of the Mo Cara family, and we will continue to offer support as your loved one continues on their journey.
With an effective combination of physical and emotional support, hospice care has the power to provide peace, closure and relief to you and your loved one. Beginning with no-charge initial consultations, through regularly scheduled visits, and ending with as-needed, on-call services 24/7/365, Mo Cara is here for you, whenever we are needed, for as long as we are needed.

Hospice care focuses on the comfort of one who is nearing the end of life. A physician must certify that life expectancy is six months or less; however, hospice can continue longer with ongoing monitoring and recertification.
Mo Cara Hospice provides relief from the symptoms of living with a serious illness as one approaches the end of life with the goal of improving the quality of life.
